What’s In a NAME?
When asked about the name Paradyme Duo, they explain that countless people have approached them after concerts to share what the music has meant to them. One of their greatest joys is watching people experience small or life-changing aha moments, genuine paradigm shifts that happen in real time while they sing, which is why they chose the name.
The duo brings together Reg Downey, a Canadian singer now based in Denmark, and Andreas Flensted, a Danish pianist and singer with deep roots in the country. Their musical journey began in the late nineties when they collaborated for a period before life pulled them in different directions. After losing touch for years, they reconnected in 2016, and that reunion marked the official beginning of Paradyme Duo.
Since then, they have built an impressive international presence through four albums, multiple singles, and a series of music videos, along with extensive travel and touring. Their performances have taken them across many countries, including shows for thousands in the United States and concerts in distinctive destinations such as Pakistan and the Faroe Islands. Wherever they go, they continue to grow their audience by creating concerts that feel personal, uplifting, and deeply human.
